Do the MRAPs have XXL AC units onboard...for the Texas heat? I can just see seven guys in the back of a MRAP for a 45-min drive there in Dallas, and arriving at the urban warfare scene....piling out of the back and in need of an ambulance immediately for heat dehydration. The on-scene guys would just call for a second MRAP to come out then (true stupidity).
Much less Tucson, Miami, Biloxi, El Paso or Las Vegas.
Our MRAP in Iraq had awesome AC. The bad part was the blast furnace heat when you open the door made us reel back every time. I’d have rather turned it off if we’d had better ventilation than the gun turret.
And they’ll love rolling around in the fire ants!!
