There was a guy on an internet radio show and chat room I used to belong to who hunted with Fred Thompson. He said that Fred Thompson told him that in 2008 during the campaign that everyone on Capital Hill knew Obama was not eligible to run but were afraid to make waves.

More like GOP-e agreed in a quid-pro-quo not to challenge Barry in exchange for not challenging McCain on the NBC issue.
But that was based on not challenging Barry’s dad’s citizenship as a disqualifier, not on criminal forgery of a BC committed to cover an obvious birth outside the US (I see no other reason than hiding an ineligible birth location behind the extreme step of forging a BC).
