The rebels have been able to disguise themselves as ordinary householders and merchants yet they have gone to great pains to arm themselves to the teeth and get briefings (from the internet and elsewhere) on the manufacture of molotov cocktails, mangles, use of fire, what to stash for survival during periods of civil disorder, etc.
The period of open combat has not yet arrived.
Nature of warfare has changed.
Nature of legitimate grouping has changed.
We aren’t fighting nations, economic establishments, political parties, military forces, intellectual frameworks, religious doctrines,....It’s almost as if there are stronger spiritual forces at play here.
