Further, the film misrepresented the Bible at several points. For example: The angels who came to Sodom were not desperately pleading for Lot to "Help us, help us!" The biblical account shows they had no fear of the men of Sodom.

I don't see that as any misrepresenting on their part but a not paying closer attention on your part. The angels went to Sodom to seek rightous for Abrahams sake. Lot's resposne was to help them despite the dangers. Lot was tested by them. The fact the angels had no fear wasn't the point. Lot's response to their pleas was the point. Lot's response plus for Abrahams sake GOD spared Lot.

Some folk miss the fact they say the movie is a dramatization of The Bible. Some of the criticisms seen on some thread are just plain nit picking like saying {Manson looking } Moses. It shows their own lack of what Moses at that time would have been doing. Shepherds were a rather rough sort of person much like fishermen in Christ time on earth. Moses to me looked about what a person would expect for someone living in the Saudi mountains as a shepherd. Moses left Egypt for Saudi Arabia for a considerable number of years. No movie can follow scripture word for word and cover the ground they have covered in 10 hours. No have done it.

Next is the fact the movie was not despite what some assume written by The History Channel rather History Channel was the only one who would show it. They had a finished product as I understand it and History Channel agreed to show it.

This isn't anymore off the mark than what a Sunday School teacher might use to illustrate The Bible. Remeber this movie is aimed at the general public not just believers. There is plenty of time to study deeper and learn but first the seed must be planted.

Some want the movie to where only those who have read and study The Bible for years would appreciate it. The movie is aimed at trying to reach persons from all walks to get them to consider their relationship with GOD. Believe it or not many, many, persons have received Christ and the persons help lead them to Christ did not even have a Bible in hand. The message {the seed} is planted, The Holy Spirit if the person will listen and allow brings conviction or the knowledge of sin to the person, guides them, and brings the lost too salvation if the lost submit.
