Most folks focus on the angels and the sex in Lot's visit to Sodom, et al, and only rarely is any notice taken of the fact that Lot's wife failed to secure husbands for her daughters and was subsequently turned to rock salt (or stone). Then, true to the threat, Lot himself ended up in the sack with her girls.

There's a series of petroglyphs in the Kola Peninsula that tell that particular story ~ they were scratched out and carved up to 7500 years ago.

That's just one of the reasons dramatic portrayals of the Bible's oldest stories can be so difficult to produce in a satisfactory manner.

The men who were to marry the daughters wouldn’t leave.

Genesis 19:14 “So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were pledged to marry his daughters. He said, “Hurry and get out of this place, because the Lord is about to destroy the city!” But his sons-in-law thought he was joking.”
