Good attitude, I agree with most of it. The exception is this "But I see that as a local issue in California. And, with my attitude about California, that is simply a “dog bites man” story."

The over reaction of the police and firing on innocent people is not limited to CA. Most police and sheriff’s departments would cover for their own people as much as they could, rule it a justified shooting and just do a payout with public money to the injured and killed. There are too many instances of this to discount. Without the unlawful shootings the Dorner Case is not a issue.

I completely agree. I’ve seen it even at a local level in a small town. But then again, it happened to Bonnie and Clyde. I really don’t see it as conspiracy stuff yet, and I see it from the lens of “politics is local”.

If it crosses a certain line in my community, we will take care of it on a, um, personal level. And this brings up the problem I have with cities: The relative powerlessness the average person has. It is why they ultimately always become liberal. It’s the only way they can live together and feel protected from each other.
