Children of American citizens born overseas are indisputably American citizens. It’s a question of their being ‘natural born citizens,’ as called for in the Constitution as a prerequisite to presidential eligibility that is in dispute.

Exactly.

And, by our currently popular standard definition of natural born citizenship, that child would also be a natural born of whatever country s/he was born in, just as anchor babies are said to be natural born citizens of this country.

The slippery slope tells me that eventually, the UN will make everyone a natural born citizen and anyone can be president.

That is something we must fight to stop from happening. It goes against our founders original intent.

We are splitting hairs and killing our messengers.

This entire thing is mental masturbation.

When the 2nd amendment was penned the intent was clear.
“The right to bear arms shall not be infringed”

Yet some folks take the clause about a well regulated militia(the common man and citizen) and twist that into something that was not implied.

I think some of us would disarm the people because they themselves have a lack of resolve and mental clarity.

Do not shoot Ted Cruz.

Let me see if I understand. John McCain, a child of two U.S. citizens, born in Panama because his father was an admiral in the U.S. Navy and there due to orders, would not be eligible to be president?
