I have my own theory about the gummit buying all this ammo. It may be a wacky theory, but nonetheless, it’s what I have concluded.

“They” are having a hell of a time trying to take our guns. What’s the next best thing? Take our ammo........

Bought 3 more pounds of powder today and some primers.

Shipment just came today to nearby gun supplier. He even had an AR type weapon that arrived today, one of my friends was handling it when I arrived at the store. Suspect he bought it after I left.

I don’t shoot exotic rifles but what I shoot has a bit more energy than the .223 rifles the press is so afraid of.

They have bought enormous amounts of ammo and weapons and are now effectively preventing citizens from buying ammo. The following is an email I posted here a few days ago that I received from a company where I ordered 2 extra clips from for my 9mm handgun.

You are receiving this email because you have signed up for this newsletter on our website. To our valued customers, an apology, an explanation, and a request for your help in righting a wrong by a large credit card processing company!! First, we apologize for the delays in processing and in refunds from the credit card processor which have occurred recently! Second, we want to provide you with this explanation: As you know, our industry has experienced a large spike in demand over the last several months following President Obama’s threats to reduce your ability to purchase firearms. This sudden, dramatic increase in orders is challenging our ability to provide timely processing of your order. As with many other businesses, we use a “credit processor” to handle all credit card transactions placed through our website. Payments made through our website go through this credit card processor before eventually coming to us. Also, refunds for purchases also must pass through this processor. Until recently, our online credit card processor was First Data. Without notice to us, our credit card processor First Data, began withholding all monies from customers' financial transactions. Even worse, they are refusing to release outgoing refunds to customers. Even though your credit was charged, our company HAS NOT RECEIVED the money! When we disputed their retention of funds, First Data stated that they were freezing all funds in process due to the spike in demand and the “high risk” nature of our business. (That sounds “fishy” to us, how about you”) This means that for all purchases, and more importantly, customer refunds, First Data has refused to release any funds. We believe that First Data has breached its agreement with us. We hired a law firm in Phoenix in the hopes of resolving these issues as quickly as possible. We have repeatedly requested and demanded that First Data to release any and all funds for customers who have requested refunds. We have expressly informed First Data that we make no claims to funds of any customer who has filed a good faith request for refund. Despite this, First Data has informed us that they may hold the funds owed as refunds to our customers for six (6) months or more. Third, please help us get you your refund from First Data and right this wrong! While we will continue to attempt to get First Data to release those funds immediately, we encourage all customers owed refunds to contact First Data directly by themselves or through an attorney:

FIRST DATA 5565 Glenridge Connector NE, Suite 2000 Atlanta, GA 30342 Email: legalpapers@firstdata.com Web: www.FirstData.com Phone: 1-866-382-8643

Due to First Data’s actions, it is impossible at this time for PCO Intl to provide an accurate shipment date for outstanding orders. We are working overtime to resolve this situation as quickly as possible. We are doing our best to process orders as quickly as possible and to fills all refund requests as they come in For questions concerning your account, please feel free to contact our customer service staff either by phone (623-386-7261) or by email info@personalchoiceoutfitters.com. Please remember that our staff is currently working at full capacity attempting to keep up with the unusually high current demand. Please be patient as you await a response to your inquiry. We appreciate your business. Sincerely, Personal Choice Outfitters International, LLC

I think you are exactly right. There is no way they could confiscate the hundreds of millions of weapons in our country, but they can certainly limit the availability of ammo. We are being disarmed by taking away the most crucial aspect of the weapon. We are a people that are heavily armed, unfortunately very few have large supplies of ammunition, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

Your idea of taking the ammo is not whacky at all.

What else would explain the purchase orders specifying the normal hunting rounds; 3006,2506;22LR;20guage;410guage;etc,
that were in the 4 billion plus rounds that they have purchased. These are not normal military or LEO rounds that are used in everyday “training” excercises.

Dry up the supplies of components as well. When you bulk buy this ammo you cause a huge run on small/large rifle primers and small/large rifle primers as well as brass and powder stock. So you essentially kill two birds with one stone, the normal purchaser and the reloader.

I, as other like minded buds of mine, have been stocking up since ‘01 so feel rather comfortable at this stage of the game. I feel for the Patriot that is late to the party.
