First off, I very seriously doubt the Pope is gay (on any grounds.... and especially given his advanced age)...
IF the Pope were gay, it would be none of Sullivan’s business so long as the Pope did not flaunt it, and so long as the Pope taught properly concerning it.
Finally, just because the Pope lives with one or more other fellows does not make him gay!
And that would be true regardless of his priestly vows, one way or the other.
Finally, the Pope has resigned anyway, and certainly his advanced age and obvious frailty should be adequate explanation for Mr. Sullivan.
I find such an unfounded allegation to be grossly offensive.
Incidentally, would anyone really expect a frail 85 year old man, with health conditions, to live all alone???
If he lived like a hermit, what would Sullivan say (”homosexual for whom Viagra doesn’t work?)
If he lived with a woman, what would Sullivan say
