I can see a suspension until the facts are gone over, but if the kid saved a life he should later be rewarded and his record of suspension removed, and a letter of commendation placed in it’s stead.

Yeah like that's going to happen? Maybe after his parents spend a few hundred in legal fees or after weeks and weeks of 'investigation'.
