Great post.Couldn't agree more.

"Some people don’t really want people to analyze what they say. They just want to say it."

Aint that the truth! The analysis of what you post here can be brutal and so it should be.If you don't consider your words your credibility could die the death of a thousand cuts.

It tends to make one really really carefull if they want to be heard or read.Still, sometimes it can be gut bustingly hilarious watching know-it-alls implode.

It’s a microcosm of how the collective ‘we’ got to this mess to begin with.

The net ‘freed’ people to spout whatever as holy writ and then the PC of ‘Thou shall not offend” gave them cover. We say that displayed best in “How dare you question my patriotism” by the libs in the Iraq war.

Same stuff, different day.

I am not very quick in conversation, I don’t have that gift of being able to do on-the-fly analysis and formulation of a response.

I enjoy writing, and I feel that it gives me time to formulate and think through what I really mean, which is good for this environment, because people will readily poke holes, and that is fully expected.

Hey, I have my own sacred cows that have been slaughtered and put on a spit over the Free Republic coals here. It makes me realize just how fallible my opinions can be on occasion. It is humbling.
