I’m not so sure they should be so loved.

Scripture very well tells us of those who rejected God’s natural affection and God Himself and were then turned over to their reprobate mind.

Even when fulfilling the Great Commission, were are also told to sell our tunic to buy a sword if unarmed and to not cast pearls before swine.

For those who have never heard the Gospel, yes, we should love them and share the Gospel. For those who have heard, rejected, and repetitively run to their sin, then attack Christ and God in their arrogance, they are enemies of Christ, not those who are to be loved.

Vengeance is the Lord’s, but giving them additional love in many cases is simply casting pearls before swine and may aggravate their condition to even lower aggressive states than before.

Well, the problem is what "so loved" means. If that means a lack of reproof then that is not love, for while "God so loved the world that He gave" the most precous Object of His love to save it, yet that Object said, "Me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. " (John 7:7)

As how can i love my neighbor as myself if i do not oppose a practice that will send them to an eternal Hell and likely an early grave?

Yet knowing that the wages of sin is the second death, as that is what even the best Christian truly merits in pure justice, and that every believer was once a child of wrath, then the true born again believer can be an instrument of grace showing care, and in calling all lost to forsake the foolish and live, (Prv. 9:6) "Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. " (Acts 20:21)

And this also serves to warn them, as per Ezek. 33:8, but yes, there is a time and occasions to stamp the dust off your feet, and move on, but that is a matter of discernment.

Great post! May men and women be so wise as to not cast pearls before swine.
