I just got to wondering recently why Charlie’s wife didn’t hand him a nickel instead of a sandwich at the Sculley Square station one day at quarter-past-two.

LMAO! It makes for a good song, not good sense-but a folk-and-rock group that performed at a college bar/hangout I went to always sang that at the station at quarter-past-two Charlie’s wife flipped him the finger-not a sandwich or a nickel...

That is funny. I remember hearing that song back in the 60s and wondering the same thing. I used to have the Kingston Trio album with that and a bunch of other good songs on it. I gave all my LPs away many years age. To my surprise they seem to be making a bit of a comeback. I doubt my film cameras will ever do the same thing tho.

Obviously it was not intended to be taken seriously but it still was so clearly stupid.
