This guy was good or better but not phenomenal at the Prayer meeting and I have seen the movie about him.
I was more impressed by Eric Metaxas at last years prayer meeting who wrote a biography on Dietrich Bonhoffer.
However, as Larry Elder has stated on his radio show, he traveled to D.C. where the Republican heiarchy had him convinced he was their man to run for (I forget) either Gov. of California or against Diane Feinstein for Senate, they needed him, they were recruiting him, they gave him every reason why it should be him...he was convinced, he said yes. He flys back to California and within 2 days he’s heard they have instead picked and are promoting a woman to run for the GOP.
The GOP is fixated on ‘pet and novelty candidates’ who they think can win. And that thinking frequently is not very deep and involves racial and gender novelty.
Funny, that's just what the libs say about the GOP....

We are at a moment in history which is fraught with great danger because of the insanity of our educational system, political correctness and a media which practices pure propaganda. Those who have read and lived history are very afraid that we are sliding into the oblivion many countries throught history have experienced, especially ancient Rome which walked a path very similar to the one the US is on now. We have few heroes outside the pleasure industries of the world (Hollywood and Sports) and our culture has tried it’s best to lay God to rest. Many are very anxious and even grieved on a daily basis because they see and realize what is happening but feel helpless to do anything about it. Then, along comes Dr. Carson, who is someone most of us knew little about. I am sorry to put it this way, but, as the Dr. spoke, it was almost like God had appeared to to that prayer breakfast. We know many have tried but seem not able to stop the raging immorality going on in our institutions and our government, with our laws and our system being trampled on constantly without the objection of our system of checks and balances which are our security system. In his own quiet way, with his intellect, his morality and his supernatural gift to heal children with terrible brain disease, Dr. Carson appears to give us hope we have not had in years. His logic and clear thinking are rare and his kindness and cheerfulness coupled with his confidence are so refreshing to the heart and soul. I am hopeful he can begin some kind of healing of our national brain disease which will be lethal if not stopped. I am sorry, Sir, but Dr. Carson is no “pet or novelty” candidate. Conservative principles or adherence to any principles and moral values are discouraged, not required. However they will tell you that you must be able to “pretend” to have both in order to run in the primaries.
