Abolish all taxpayer supported tenure. Then nonsense like this will stop.
Story after story like this will have a negative impact as the story it tells the average person is that minorities are inherently inferior. Your average guy will look around and see endless quantities of special help for minorities, and look at all of the “minority” countries that are below average in development, and make conclusions that the race warriors will not like.
I remember way back in the 90’s at the University of Washington. They also had a free tutoring program that was offered only to minorities. My thought on the subject was that if you are in a university, then you should beyond the need for tutoring in the first place...especially since most of the tutoring that took place was for remedial classes. Same with the multiple groups that existed to support female engineers. If you want to be an engineer, just go to class and do the work like everyone else, nobody is stopping you.
After that I started noticing an endless progression of news events. The first one I remember was Sharpton going ape-S* over a bunch of black students getting suspended after they started a huge fight at a high school football game. It was not long after zero-tolerance really started to become a big thing, and sharpton more than implied that zero tolerance was a conspiracy against black people. That made me think of a bunch of administrators getting together in a smoke filled room saying “Hmmm, we really need to get rid of black people..how do we do it...hmmm...Aha! Everybody knows that black kids are incapable of conducting themselves in a civilized manner, therefore if we have zero tolerance rules against causing riots on school property we can get rid of most of them”.
