Thanks for the contribution! You know, I was shocked this December when I went to visit family in my old home-town of Pittsburgh.
I was listening to the rock station there (102.5 WDVE) and they were playing this song. I was stunned when this station, long known as irreverent, tough, unapologetic - actually CENSORED the word faggot OUT of the song where the lyrics say “the little faggot with the earing and the makeup”.
Why would they even bother to play the song at all??? That would be less embarassing.
Actually if you listen to the radio very much you will find out that the radio version of Money for Nothing has the entire George Michael verse entirely deleted. It plays the interlude before and then segues very cleanly into the interlude after. Listen carefully.
