I wouldn’t go out on a limb with your proof being the media made mistakes reporting the story. I can tell you from first hand experience that the media will fill in wide gaps in information with off the cuff guesses and report it as fact.

The fact they reported about an AR 15 is not proof that it was used or that it was not used.

I’m not sure trying to argue conspiracy is going to help our cause anyway.

Without exception, every time I have had first hand knowledge of an event that was reported in the local media, they get at least one thing wrong.

Either they give the wrong address, or they attribute the wrong title to somebody, or occassionally their grasp of why the event is newsworthy is twisted 180 degrees.

Its uncanny really. Every single time.
