I am repulsed by social media as much an anyone, but recognize that it is inevitable and it has to be adapted to. The GOP has to get its $hit together and realize that the marketing skill and communication techniques employed by Obama for America 2012 completely ate the lunch of Romney 2012 (particularly on the rather sore point of GOTV.)
This kind of perpetual campaign activity is just another facet that Republicans have to counter. There needs to be a permanent GOP platform, not a policy platform, but a technology platform - a voter database so the basic information needed to reach out to a given voter is already in place whenever someone gets the GOP nomination in 2016. That database needs to be updated 24x7x365, election years and off years. It has to be available to GOP candidates from local races on up. All the possible micro-targeting and segmenting strategies depend on the quality (accuracy and comprehensiveness) of the data on voters. Only the RNC can do this, and they need to get going in a serious way.
I appreciate your sentiment but as much as I dislike Romney, he ate BHO's lunch this 'selection'. Unless election fraud gets fixed, this nation is doomed.
