After having finished reading this entire thread which I had decided NOT to post on for various reasons, I finally came to this last post.
With all due deference to the other posters on this thread, yours was the one that most closely described my own response.
Sometimes when I get scared, I think, “What can they do to you after you’re dead?”
Because what REALLY scares me is what they can do to the rest of my life and the life of my country if I cower and refuse to fight.
THAT will not happen.
