How about: Nobody needs 24/7 media coverage of these mass killings. It is very dangerous and leads to the copycat effect where unbalanced people are given an incentive to kill masses of innocents in order to become famous.
While many statists would agree to limit the First Amendment here, many others woud see the point.
Nobody needs health insurance, until they do.
Nobody needs liability insurance, until they do.
And guess what? Our govt. says we have to buy those.

I can certainly see the enviros jumping on the argument with a “no family needs more than one car” position.
The Founding Fathers could not possibly foresee high speed printing presses.
Therefore nobody needs a high speed printing press.
A single page, manual press will do.

There is a distinction between things that are needed because they are necessary for survival or for living a life proper to a rational being and things that are simply wanted for whatever reason. Something may not be needed but could still be wanted.Everyone has their own hierarchy of values that they use to make decisions about what they want to gain or keep.In a free society it is up to the individual to decide for himself what values he want to pursue, in what order, and how.
It’s called the bill of rights
Not the bill of needs.
