The Civil War erupted at a time when the slave-holding South recognized that their situation was untenable. Slavery was going to end if they remained in the Union.
Despite their unjust cause of wanting to perpetuate the owning of people as property, it took years and half a million lives to get the South to lay down its weapons.
How could there be less bloodshed protecting the right to keep and bear arms, a cause which had already ignited the American Revolution and which our Founders recognized as essential to the security of a free state?
I can't predict how the people of New Hampshire will behave, despite their motto of "Live Free or Die", but I'm pretty sure that Texas, Arizona, and Utah will be keys to a bright future.
