I will address your points openly, however.

1) I don't really care who or what you think you're 'encouraging' by making wild-eyed unsupported estimates of "us" and "them". Lots of folks did that before CW-I ... you're making the same mistake they did. I recommend against it.

2) I didn't "ask" you about equipment, I stated flat out that you were ignoring the topic.

3a) I don't claim to be a smart guy. I may or may not be one, but I make no claims.

3b) I am not a lawyer.

3c) I'm not sure what sort of 'drift' you think you get. Really. Don't over-think this, I'm NOT playing games.

3d) I am not a fed.

3e) I am not trying to trick you or anyone else. Again, I'm not playing games. I just don't do that.

3f) I do not wish to see you or any other patriot get arrested.

I do wish to see patriots use their brains. That includes being willing to discuss matters rationally, and to address criticism without personal attacks.

You claim to be a Marine. Fine; I'll assume that's true for the moment. You are forgetting that your audience (which includes me) is not composed of PFCs under your command.

"Shut your suck" may work in the squad bay; it most assuredly DOES NOT work out here in the real world.

I figured you would do this. It was a test to see if you were more concerned about discussing our differing opinions or being "right" and winning a "debate" in public. I now have my answer.

In spite of the fact that I address rationally these exact topics in my well researched article. Disagree about the numbers ? Sources not the best ? Let's discuss it, but you hit first with a "This dumb grunt missed these important points" - type post. Like I said, you're obviously well educated which leaves only your motives with dishonest demoralization of that type.

My argument is clear and concise. I allow and mention it in the article that there is plenty of wiggle room for numbers. I mention the split in the military during CWI and during FDR and you claim I'm basing it on feelings ?

In the end, we are armed. We are free, and we are strong enough to stay that way.

While we're on the topic of allies and alienation, coming to a FR gun rights thread with Harvard's rule book of logical debate isn't going to win you any followers yourself.
