“A drone does not exist in and of itself, it is the culmination of a very long chain of events, each susceptible to pistols and rifles. Even during use it can be brought down with even a single shot from a 22.”
A good story (true in its essential details, so far as I know) came out of WW2 to illustrate this point. Josif Tito (later Marshall Tito) was the leader of the largest Yugoslavian partisan resistance movement against the Germans. He was once asked, “How will your men, armed with old rifles, defeat the Wehrmacht, armed with new Panzers?” His response was illuminating, from the standpoint of tactical brilliance: “When the Germans get out of their new Panzers to take a piss, my men will shoot them with their old rifles.” Note that Tito’s partisans took some 20 divisions of Wehrmacht and SS troops out of the fight for much of the war...evidence that his tactics worked quite well.
There are many variations on that theme which will work inthe modern era. Even 100-year-old bolt action rifles are quite lethal, and there are LOTS of them available. The same weapon used to commit the first recorded murder (a rock) is still just as lethal. We are a toolmaking species - and all of the tools invented in our long history are available - rocks, sharpened sticks, spears, bows & arrows, crossbows, poisons, black powder rifles, center- and rim-fired weapons by the legion, mines, knives, etc. All can be made, and all will be used if necessary.
I certainly appreciate your point. Should they be used against the 2A citizens, the hope is to see them coming. The eventual size of locust is not optimal, it seems to me, but there can be an antidote for most everything. I just don’t happen to know what it would be in this case. Thx. Some may. Wink, wink.
