Let the Dems try to pass Second Amendment restrictions . . . the next mid-term elections will provide a second wave of Tea Party voters, and hopefully this time we’ll secure the Senate as well as gaining more ground in the House.
By the time the mid-terms start to roll around, the Left will still be engaged in the “conversation”, looking for all the world like reasonable “moderates” who have only the public interest in mind. To push new expanded gun laws, and get them passed (do they think they can pull off an “over, under, around,and through”
like they did Obamacare?, BEFORE then will unleash a renewed Tea Party awakening, but that too could be on their Agenda, which seems now totally committed to go “all in” on EVERY
front. The overall objective is to demonize your political opponents at every turn. It goes without saying that if enormous numbers of guns manage to get confiscated, we’ll see, just like in Australia, an increasing number of homicides, rapes, robberies, etc. committed by criminals who
will never give up the most precious tool in their toolbag, which is a gun.The guns of criminals then become their own
“Peacemaker”, like the original Colt .45 in the Old West.
It makes “peace” because the only recourse an unarmed victim has without a gun to protect himself will be roll over and allow himself to be victimized, IOW, to submit “peacefully”.
But , going forward, will we ever get an honest debate about this? Considering how the moderate Wayne LaPierre has already been vilified by daring to come out and utter commonsensical defenses of the 2nd Amendment position, I wouldn’t bet on it.The MSM won’t allow it.
And I say all the above as someone who doesn’t own a gun and probably never will.
