The military and police, being subsegments of our society, are probably just as divided as civilians are.

Agreed. If we ever did have another shooting civil war, we would be a basket case like Spain in the 1930s. A half dozen factions on each side, and civil wars within each faction.

Be mindful that even “some” family members are not to be trusted...Especially if they know what you have...

I would look at your collection, see what you are willing to sell, make sure those family members see a few sales, and talk about some of your “items” (that you want to put into savings) are “sold” as well...

That way your necessities, if it comes to it, will not be widely known to most people...Have one or two cheap, throwdowns to relinquish if it comes to that...

Don’t go too overboard with stories about “I lost them in a boating accident, ot sold them to this guy named John Someone...” They will, by the time they get around to you, heard enough of that nonsense...

Better to have a substantive plan, and system in place to protect yourself now, than wait for any action they may start to take on us...

Just my opinion...
