I honestly have no answer to your question. There are people in this country who think that people with mental problems should not be taking meds.
This goes beyond narcissism and into the realm of lunacy, no pun intended.
I have an associate with a daughter, who will never be emotionally stable. About every three to four years...the doctor comes out with a new drug that they feel will help improve her stability. So they begin the treatment, with an estimate on her amount. For an entire month....the drug will trip her up and trigger various ‘fits’, so she takes a blood test and eventually is given a different amount. After three or four months...they finally get to the right amount, and she’s stable for the next three years....until the next drug comes out and they repeat the whole process.
The family has to be part of the daily drug routine...she has to take the drug in front of someone and they have to monitor her. She’s thirty years old.
You can figure the amount of attention this requires and the years left that both husband and wife have to invest into this daughter. When they pass to an age of limited ability....they will put her into some facility. Currently no facility will take her because of police reports where she went kind of nuts and was totally out of control (that was ten years ago, but the reports linger).
The system is screwed up, and there are tens of thousands of people out there....in this state of mind. We as a nation....are inviting a zombie-like situation to brew up. If the makers of these drugs ever halt production for a month or two....the whole nation would be facing thousands nuts.
