“Pity that Orwell never wrote a sequel to 1984.”

He had to rush to complete 1984, as he had been diagnosed with a terminal illness after he had started writing.

Once he finished 1984, he had a heck of a time finding a publisher. Most who read it, were too afraid of the story and its implications.

For a rush job, it is remarkably complete. Even so, all empires fall, and not even the Party would have been able to withstand nature turning on it; they were utterly dependent on technology to maintain power.
