America's "A Horse With No Name" was arguably the biggest hit of 1972, but I've never understood its appeal. The melody consists of about five notes, and the lyrics make no sense.

Yeah, no kidding! Nine days in the desert would be more than enough time for me to come up with a name for the horse.
