My favorite recording by Lee Andrews & the Hearts is The Clock (1957)--one of the few songs that mentions the name of the singer ("Hey Lee, you're wanted on the phone")

I love bluegrass and have since I was a kid. These guys always cheer me up - The .357 String Band. It's kinda "punk" bluegrass- some of their lyrics are crude, but funny. Excellent musicians, too.

ABBA, yes (and Ace of Base for similar reasons). Also Laurie Berkner (children’s music) — we get the albums for the kids, but some of the tracks actually make it on to my general playlist as well...
