He accomplished what he set out to do.

In doing so, he may have preserved the nation of Norway as a unique country, instead of a socialist “administrative district”.

He may have slowed down, at least, the dilution of the Norwegian vote with wide open immigration, to which Norway, with only 5m people, is particularly vulnerable. Part of the philosophy of the Socialist International organization of political parties from around the world is to encourage “open border” immigration, on condition that the immigrants vote in favor of the socialists. This is done on the theory that, along with native socialists, if enough immigrants are brought in to give the socialists single party control of a nation, laws can be passed to insure that the country remain a single party state thereafter.

He also crippled efforts to dispense with the Norwegian culture, since the socialists want to “Europeanize” Norway into just another European district, interchangeable with every other district. So Norwegian culture is subtly put down in favor of European parliament regulation and standardization.

As far as the Norwegian people, as an ethnic group, goes, the socialist want Norwegians to emigrate and to interbreed with other peoples. Their eventual goal are “gray” or generic people around the world, who belong to no ethnic group, as such.

Equality in all things. To discourage individual success or failure. That those who advocate uniqueness and individualism, individually or collectively, are anti-social. Differences between peoples are what cause wars. In sameness there is peace and “goodness”. Since people are inherently good, government is inherently good, so the more government the better.

At the same time, they also believe that doctrinally sound socialists are an elite 10% that must rule over the other 90%.

So, was Anders Behring Breivik a hero? No, he was a killer.

But he killed with intent and purpose, and was glad he killed, because he despised those he killed. In his mind he is a hero of Norway. And only time will tell if what he believed was true, and if his actions accomplished his goals.
