Since it's been awhile again. A special treat. Video of a somewhat frustrated, but determined, Keegan. Not certain y'all will be able to see it.
Just in case, here's a couple of pictures, new today.
Oscar spent Christmas eve and day with his "other" family, for Christmas, we were with our other daughter, and Oscar's cousins.
Oscar's other grandparents tradition is to spend Christmas Eve in a nice hotel, along with the extended fmaily, and then have a Christmas Day brunch. Oscar is not afraid of heights, although just looking at this picture gives Grandma Gato sweaty palms.
Oscar wishs you all a Happy New Year. He intends to have one, just like he had a very Merry Christmas.
We attended the most informal, but also one of the best Christmas Day services. Most people went to Christmas Eve service, or the Swedish service that preceeded the one we attended. I think there were 3 or maybe 4 family groups in the mostly empty pews. Pastor didn't even wear his robe, just his vestment. But the littlest twin spent much of the service on Pastor's shoulder, which pleased both of them. He even worked her into his homily. The liturgy in the program was NOT followed. But Pastor got his batteries recharge (that was his 4th service in less than 24 hours) in preparation for traveling a few hours to be with some of his children in another city. When his wife walked in at the back of sanctuary, he interrupted himself to say "Hun, look what I've got", referring to Miss K on his shoulder. She helped him too, by holding his hymnal, while he read the scripture, before he picked her up, she only weighs 33lbs (at 6 y/o).
Oscar's cousins, our granddaughters, and their Mom (our other daughter) just before heading to that Christmas day service.
For referance, our daughter is 5'3". Big Sis is 8 1/2, while the twins turned 6 in early November.
The cousins will be attending Grandma Camp starting the 28th, when the twins get the first round. Then all of them will spend New Year's Eve with us, after which the twins will go home with their Dad, and Big Sis gets her grandma camp time. I imagine there will be much sewing in that second camp, along with some math and reading.
All of them got crafts presents from their Aunt, Oscar's Mom. Big Sis got a knitting thing, while the twins got pot holder makers. They've already each made one potholder, with some help from Grandma.
