In a sense Coulter is right. Romney was not the problem.

Indeed he was a weaker candidate than we would have liked but overall it was the campaign “managers” who we’re the problem.

They never went after Obunghole the way that they needed to. He lost because he tried to be nice and play nice according to the media template. They feared being Painted as “mean” rather than attacking rightfully on the glaring failures of the administration.

There is a Republican, even a conservative, establishment. It is lead by elitists who, in truth, care nothing about Christianity or any religion. Instead, they care about global financial interests, big business, and the Treasury bond ponzi scheme not popping suddenly. They do not adovocate for government being held to is rightful amount of power and cost, per se, just a slower growth rate of government than their left-wing counterparts do.

Millions of people know that these elites do not represent the true interests of millions that are staunch conservatives but outside of elite power circles.

The elites, knowing the interests they represent, can't help the feeling of needing to tip-toe into a win as opposed to loudly espousing the Bible, the Constitution, free enterprise, etc., ergo they continually take positions that compromise with the radical left. They simply can't figure out a way to avoid the tacit admission of elitism that such compromise implies, and for good reason - there is none.

Romney was a problem but not “the problem”. As you correctly point out there is an establishemnt that does not want to rock the boat. They are completely happy to be the minority party. They don’t want to lead, because the risks of fixing the present mess are profound.

They mouth the requisite platitudes about the problem, yet are not willing to do anything to substantively address it, figuring that it’s better to let it collapse and attempt take control once it does.

The problem is that that the democRATS are playing Cloward-Piven for their Bolshevik revolution, while the republican establishment is trying to pick up the mess after the collapse thinking that they can re-establish the government in their vision.

Unfortunately the RATS are playing for keeps.
