To Ron Paul, the patron saint of malcontents, druggies, and weirdos, I say this: good riddance and...
I've always liked him. I used to be involved with a group called CATS (Citizens for an Alternative Tax System) and we favored a sales tax after abolishing the IRS and the 16th Amendment. Ron Paul was someone we followed. I've heard him speak on economic matters and I enjoyed watching him crush Paul Krugman in a debate. I see Ron Paul as an economic genius... and we don't have many economic geniuses in Congress.

When we look back 20 years everyone will see Ron Paul was right. Just like they Ross Perot.
“Mr. Perot’s 1992 campaign elevated the budget deficit to the forefront of politics”.

What affect will Ron Paul have on the GOP after two years from now?

In the article, I did mention that I agree with Paul on several issues. Sometimes he says great things. He never did great things, but he said them.
Then he says really, really stupid things, like calling the OWS barbarians “victims” or defending Iran’s “right” to have nuclear weapons.
The stupid far outweigh the good.

His sucking to muzzies, pushing fags in the military, his insane foreign policy ideas, abortion being a states’ rights issue, and his deceitfulness and duplicity (examples - adding pork onto bills he virtuously voted “no” on, knowing they’d pass) and the junk about he didn’t know what was in the newsletter he wrote for decades - make him a nasty and dangerous kook.

Well there is nobody in congress who can acquire earmarks the way Cut and Run can. That is the only genius thing about him.
