Not sure about that. Jesus did not offer us the best government ever or say He would ease our suffering in this world if we just repent and pray more. Jesus told us we would suffer. yes we should atone for our sins and pray constantly (including for our enemies) but it is also possible that our suffering will continue.
I hope you are not inferring that we have Obama because of our sin? This country and every country has always been infested with sin since Adam. Where there are men there are sinners and it has always been that way. Cheers.

1) tons of debt and enemies that want to kill us

The USA was far more blessed and prosperous in the tame 1950s than now. Does this need to be debated?
