And even if there were a “pure” candidate who held exactly the same principles as a given voter, it wouldn’t be practically feasible for that candidate to govern politically in strict categorical adherence to those principles. Compromise is necessary in attempting to adequately represent the diverse demands of many different people simultaneouslythough compromise doesn’t necessarily imply becoming more like a Liberal Democrat as some mistakenly believe; those who fear that compromise = liberalism, aren’t thinking creatively enough about how to methodologically implement Conservative-minded solutions to address common problems.
