You can preserve bacon yourself at home in a pressure canner..

There are a lot of videos on YouTube showing the method of canning bacon yourself.
Just search on YouTube for terms like "canned bacon", "Pressure Canning Bacon", etc.

Here is one video that does a good job of showing the process:

I’ve done it. Works like a charm. Used bacon ends and pieces. Canned everything but fish.

Bookmarked the canned bacon link. Thanks.

This week’s preps - a neighbor was clearing out a shed and gave me a ton of flower pots and a nearly new electric lawnmower. Hey, use the electric mower now and save wear and tear my gas one. I’m not into container gardening but it may come to that if we’re forced to bring such activities inside. I tried to talk to the neighbor into keeping useful things what with the direction the country is headed but as usual it went over his head.

I’ve done that. Emptied the freezer of bacon, freeing it up for other things. Would like to do more, also other meats and fowl.

BTW, I found the best deal on parchment paper at Sam’s Club. Five times the amounnt for a couple bucks more than the little bit the local store sells.
