FReeper Marketplace? Going Galt the Right Way.

What do you all think of having JR post a FReeper Marketplace on the Home Page?

FReeper business owners could pay JR a fee (which would help with the FReepathons) and at the same time, we could choose to do business with other like-minded folks.

If you own a business, this would be a good way to advertise and get the kind of customers you really want to serve. And I, as a consumer, would know that my money is going to support a FReeper and not some Obama drone.

Another positive to this would be that if things do get bad, or if we want to "go Galt", bartering could also be an effective method of payment.

I'm all about networking at this point since I believe we need to lean on each other more than ever at this point and try to do ZERO business with anyone who supported Obama.

What say you?

This sounds consistent with what Bill Whittle is proposing, a way of going Galt and having a sort of parallel conservative society within the broader society. Secession without the bullets. I would go for it, though the logistics are hard to envision.

Some places are already limiting how many yard sales you can have.

I would appreciate such a “recommendations” section. However, I can imagine it would present some challenges to certify the applicants.

Well, they could know how many ads you placed and who replied. They would not know from that who if anyone bought an item. They could ask everyone who replied if they bought the item. If all transactions were by cash, then it would be your word against theirs. I am not taking aobut moving a million/year on Craigslist. Do you think they are mining their ads for the IRS to see who is selling how much of what?
