My 95 year old bedridden mother voted absentee with my help, and with hand delivery to the county elections board

That's awesome. It reminds me of assisting my dad when he had reached the point where he could not vote on his own. I'm so thankful I helped him and not one of the leftist lunatics in the family.

Same with mine in 2008. Mentally sharp, physically beaten down from WWII injuries (depth charging, back injuries and the like).

He did find it difficult to vote for McCain, inasmuch as he completely disliked the old admiral/dad of John McCain.... an old issue deriving from the Fleet (Halsey’s) sailing into a typhoon that nearly killed him (that and old man mccain being a martinet that would not allow white socks with the uniform— seriously— all the while being a suck-up to Bull Halsey).

He passed in early 09, and full honors at Arlington with a view to the Lee mansion. Deo Vindice.
