A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage.

We have hit that tipping point. Immorality, deviancy are the normal. The give me mentality is generational now. There is no going back. This was our moment to push back the tides of the takers.

Good luck to survive I wish you well. As for me, I’ll be investing in food and precious metals, like gold and lead.

Nothing wrong with preparation for anomie. It would be inhuman not to want to protect your family.

Still, Job was right: “Should we accept good from God and not accept adversity?”

We have been so blessed in America. Whether we “deserve” to fall or not, our time of adversity is coming and we can accept it from God. He is alive, you know, and can be called on! He’s not in any way tricked by the rulers of Earth. He listens in on all their private scheming sessions.

We’ve had our share of horrors in this life, but how many were spared us by sheer grace will not be known until the Lord’s Day (so says my hunch).
