Not true, Michigan has a voter ID law, doesn’t mean Detroit/others followed the law, but most places did.

It’s not mandatory, they just ask real nice and are more than willing to take ‘no’ for an answer in Michigan

Actually, in Michigan you can vote without a photo ID. The poll workers always ask you for one and scan it into their computer... But there’s also an affidavit on the back of the voter card they hand you. No photo ID? Just sign it and you can vote.

My coworker runs a polling place, explained the whole thing. I doesn’t sound difficult for a single person to go around and sign these affidavits left and right and vote for other people...

If you don’t have photo ID in MI, you just sign an affidavit and then can cast a regular ballot.

The article says he also vetoed the requirement for voters to attest citizenship.
