As an addendum to Post 170, it is State Department policy to contact all minors who have been issued CLNs at their last known address, on or near their 18th birthday, to remind them they have 6 months to recapture their U.S. Citizenship or their CLN will become permanent.
Can we speculate that the Dunhams were just as happy to have BO ride his Indonesian passport and get a scholarship/free ride at the prep school? And then they gamed the system for the Occidental ‘scholarship’?
Did they encourage BO not to regain his citizenship, OR was BO too lazy (and hazy) to follow through on his reminder letter??
