Already happening. Our kid was young when he earned his bachelor's so he went right through to the graduate program and got it out of the way.
He has a good job with a large company...but it was an entry level job in his department (Finance) and you needed a Master's to apply.
They're now saying the Master's degree is the new Bachelor's degree when it comes to landing a decent job.
He worked another job while getting his graduate degree and the pay was abysmal but the next level degree raised his wage by over 50%.

I think that is absolutely true. It is important that our kids get their advanced degrees early in life as waiting can be be very destructive to their careers.
