I was being sarcastic. The Civil War was about slavery sure as shooting. And although we can complain about paying taxes, slaves we are not. Much as I hate paying taxes and big government there is no way you can compare that with being an African-American in the South in 1861.

I mean no we have the legal word from On High (the Supreme Court) that the government can (a) force us to buy a product, (b) place punitive fines-as-taxes on us for not doing something, and (c) own the fruit of your labors, even outside of the country, which is something the US has in common with North Korea.
