If there was another secession movement would you take up arms against that state(s)? Would you kill your one time fellow citizens that were deprecating their independence? Well would you?

Depends on what the issues were. Certainly if a small minority of Americans sought to peel off some states using illegal methods, that insurrection should and would be resisted. If the states in insurrection declared war on the US and fired on US forces performing their duty, sure, that would be grounds to put an acute end to the insurrection.

If separation was broadly agreed up, and conducted legally, that is, by amendment, federal legislation, or even as resolution to grievances brought by a federal case to the Supreme Court, then there would be no reason to resist separation.
