Illinois is NOT one of those unaccommodating states. If you live in either Illinois or Maryland, per Virgil Goode's Web site, the voter oversight recorders will readily tally those write-in votes! <<
Me, my whole family, and many of neighbors cast write-in votes for a local office on the Illinois ballot a few years back. The candidate was an authorized write-in candidate that had filed paperwork with the county board of elections and his name was duly accepted and qualified. On election day, the final vote totals showed he received "0" votes in my pct.
That's because those write-in votes on paper ballot mean nothing if the election judges don't do their jobs and manually record them.

mormonism is not Christianity, and to justify it as such is nonsense. This is not a Christian voting for another Christian, it is Christians trying to justify their votes based on other criteria. <<
True. Though since Jesus Christ himself was a practicing Jew, I guess most of the "Christians" here who will only vote "other Christians" would have to justify their votes based on other criteria, in order to support Jesus.

Do you see what were losing here? Theres more at stake than a country. Christians do have an obligation to render unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar. But they must in that same moment render unto God what is Gods. God has spoken on false teachers and those who hold forth an antichrist perversion of the doctrine of Christ. They are to get no support whatsoever from Christians. None. Thats what we owe God. Caesar gets his tax money. God gets our souls. Thats the deal.
As usual, SR, you have provided clarity, from a Christian perspective, to a situation that too many of us Freepers have clouded with Pragmatism and compromise.
As Christians, our first loyalty is to Christ, and to political parties and the Pragmatism they try to enforce on their members second.
Aside from the obvious scriptural points you have presented, there is the issue of Romney supporting both Abortion and the Gay Agenda, both of which are called sin by God in his Holy Bible.
Furthermore, God, through his Son Jesus Christ and his Apostles, has commanded that we have nothing to do with those who purposefully choose sinfulness over righteous as Romney has done with both Abortion and the Gay Agenda.
As Christians, the apt question is: Choose ye this day whom you will serve!!

So your point is that because there where some people who embraced slavery, we should vote for Romney - well ok then.

OK here’s where I draw the line. You actually said:
“If I cant let a Mormon into my house, or even give him a common greeting, how can I ever voluntarily grant him authority over my life on such a grand scale as the US presidency?”
So you are better than the Rev. Billy Graham who has met with Mormons in his home? So I am not welcome in your home. Wow! I thank God you are not my Judge. My Judge is Jesus Christ who is my very Best Friend and Advocate. I don’t believe for one minute He is pleased with your ignorant statement! The Savior Jesus Christ does not condemn me but you condemn me to hell and believe that I am not worthy. Wow. Just Wow. What has happened to my beloved country?

Adj/Noun: Feckle - When someone has a blemish, mole or freckle on their penis.
Noun: freckle Small brownish spot on the skin, often turning darker or increasing in number upon exposure to the sun.
So not sure, did you mean without freckles or were you making derogatory comments about my penis.
My husband will be surprised, if that's what you meant.

No one condemned you to hell.
Sandy your dance grows weary, do you just cut and paste your old posts.
You and you alone are responsible for heaven or hell dwelling place.
As a side not Jesus does condemn false teachings and prophets, like mormonism and Joseph Smith.

It is usual to utilize the primary (first) definition of a word.....you originally picked the meaning from a word I did not use
feckless (within the context of my sentence....ie that is the most feckless response ...) means powerless, ineffectual, lacking in vitality
