So for those of you who have access to Cable and power, I was wondering, what has been the coverage of Obama's response ? I have not been able to closely follow what Obama's response has been.
I think the State Governers are doing a good enough job so that there won't be any need for Obama to rush out with Fema for mass rescues and have government agents rush out onto the scene to provide shelters for hundreds or even thousands of people made homeless like there was during Katrina.
I think that the only thing Obama can do that will help him get votes at all is deliver speeches that make him seem appealing and Presidential and inspirational to the public, like he did the last 5 years or so. I guess what I am interested in knowing is, is this gonna be enough to get Obama crucial votes or even to attract Romney voters over to Obama ?
Does anyone know, based on any televised coverage of Obama over the course of today and any showing of polls which show a change in Obama support over the course of the storm ?
It’s the standard “closely monitoring . . . “ line. I am sure he will be in front of the cameras by morning
The oceans are healing, remember? He’s a god. Never forget. Why, I expect the flood waters to recede instantly and for all infrastructure damage to self-heal because The One is in office.
New York....you voted for The One. Let him heal you. I’ll pop some corn and watch and applaud appropriately.
He spent the day doing photo ops with MSM reporters so they can blanket the papers and magazines with dramatic pics of him “handling” things from the situation room.
As soon as it’s safe, I’m sure he and the press gaggle will head out by chopper for some more photos to properly document his heroics.
Busy doing my GOTV efforts. But I thought I heard background TV say WH had some sandbags around an entrance to keep water out. Can’t confirm.
Haven’t seen anything about that... they only said that most of the government was closed today, and probably tomorrow.. which *might* delay Friday’s jobs report.
; )
That may not help him. It conjures up the Benghazi fiasco.
This is giving him an unfair advantage as he is prominently seen on television.
He literally stood on the eastern shore of the united states and blew with the sheer power of his breath the storm back into the ocean and then across the pond.
CBS had a special report on the storm tonight, which wasn’t too bad until the end when someone gave an impassioned essay that all we’ve seen today proves how much we need government. Look how we all came together. Even Gov. Christie thanked the president. Oh, and things are so dire that the Labor Dept. might not even be able to get the jobs report out on time on Friday.
Other than that, it was fun to watch Scott Pelley’s hair mussed, and meet the NJ cop who made him and the crew evacuate their seaside restaurant broadcast headquarters just before the sea blasted the windows in. And those waves pounding up against the glass were such a fine visual effect.
Send in the clowns...never mind, they’re already here.
So do you think it will singlehandedly allow Obama to come from behind and gain the lead by luring too many undecided voters away and perhaps even taking votes away from Romney ?
“New York....you voted for The One. Let him heal you. Ill pop some corn and watch and applaud appropriately.”
Yup. Let the looting begin!
Rofl,hahahahahaha
Havent seen any response since this morning, probably slept all day.
No, I don’t think there will be a shift to 0bama due to the storm.
The country is on to him now. He’s giving us what he calls the okey doke.
Planted gaggle question this morning: Do you think Romney will exploit the storm for political advantage? With the dems, it’s always projection.
Then he belatedly leaves FL campaign to fly back to what? A lame press conference with half the seats empty to make it all about himself once more. Everything has Axelrod behind it, providing optics and talking points that the MSM slavishly follow. Never let a crisis (hurricane) go to waste. The emperor has no clothes. Meanwhile, the governors and local responders are in there doing what matters.
Two television conferences, the last one being a Press Conference at Noon today where he quickly exited afterwards fearing questions about Benghazi, which of course would NEVER happen with today’s repWHOREters.
Actually, the looting may distract ACORN/SEIU from voter fraud.
