Ironically Russian Lada car maker said that same crap like GM now to their customers since the Iron Curtain fallen.
It has never worked and they pushed government to tariff foreign cars.
Until just recently they had to pay $40,000 for a base Camry due to a tariffs to force less wealthy customers into buying a lemon Lada.
