SMACKDOWN! Judge to Allred: We Don't Deny Due Process on Political Grounds
The Red Side of Life Conservative Musings from New York ^ | 10-24-12 | RedInNewYork

Today has been nothing short of an absolute embarrassment for Obama donor and Attorney Gloria Allred.

First, Allred's much ballyhooed "October Surprise" was revealed to be an absolute dud. Her claim is that Mitt Romney was responsible for the very wealthy ex-wife of Staples founder, Tom Stemberg, not getting even more money in the couple's divorce settlement reached in the early 90s.

Stated differently, Mitt Romney prevented the rich, 1%er Corporate ex-Wife from getting richer. On this alone, Romney should be an OWS folk hero.

Viewed through a political lens, I do not think the working wives of unemployed miners in Ohio will have much sympathy for the petty complaints of a woman who is worth millions, while they toil away just trying to make ends meet.

But, here's the kicker. During the hearing, Allred had the temerity ask the Judge to make an expedited decision because "there is an election coming up." The MA Judge rounded sharply on Allred, scolding her and stating that she, the Judge, would not deny a party due process because of an election. Allred was deflated, and the Judge granted an adjournment.

Clearly, Allred is just playing politics again, as the Obama campaign becomes more and more desperate, but this latest episode again raises important issues about Allered herself. In particular, this question lingers: how does Allred just happen to always have the right clients at the right political time? This is relevant because, if Allred - directly or via third-parties - is actively soliciting these people, then her actions are in clear violation of California Rules of Conduct 1-400.

Paging the California Bar...

I guess Romney really is squeaky clean, and that’s really a tough thing for the Bamster to handle . . . ."

LOL. That really a tough thing for some Freepers to handle.

Wow, Republicans thought it was bad when Obama had unsealed records about Ryan in Illinois. Now they think records from a never-completed divorce are relevant?

The fact is, how is records from a non divorce over a decade old more relevant that President Obama's performance the last 4 years?

This divorce story is distracting from the President's terrible performance. Anyone talking about the divorce is actually campaigning for Obama.

Everything pales in comparison to doing nothing while 30 Americans under attack called for help.

Theatrical drama, just what they wanted. They didn’t want the information to be made public, they did it to create innuendo in order to recapture the woman voters.

Gloria Allred obviously thought that President Romney testifying years ago in a friend’s divorce could affect the election. Otherwise she wouldn’t be going to a judge in Mass 2 weeks before an election. She has also met with Obama recently.

Because of Trump, republicans may not have to talk about Gloria Allred.

Beck, Drudge, and Hannity have been talking about Libya all day with very little about Allred and Trump as it should be. President Romney’s campaign thought it was important enough to put out a statement.

If Gloria Allred were to parade out 3 to 5 crying women claiming sexual harassment against President Romney like she did to Cain, that’s all anybody would be talking about whether the charges were true or not. Ignoring Allred does not make her go away. Trump is effectively fighting her with her own tactics.

If the old divorce records show that Obama had an affair or was physically abusive then that kind of stuff is always relevant in a campaign. After all, this is politics.

Maybe Jack Ryan and Herman Cain should have just talked about their opponent’s record then it all would have been ok.

Does it really matter what freepers are talking about? If we only post about Obama’s record on freerepublic do you think the press will cover it and help President Romney get his message out?

Wouldn’t be surprised if Soebarkah hightails it for Indonesia or Kenya after the election...
