It’s called “communication”. If you want to communicate to the masses, you can’t talk above most people’s heads. A political science professor (say) could probably make the same announcement, using all sorts of $2 words. It might impress you — but, it wouldn’t sway the masses. It goes a long way to explain why Trump gets around in private jets, helicopters and limos; while the good professor is driving a 10 year old Volvo.
