And don't forget that Reagan had to work with a Tip O'Neill-led House for most of his Presidency, yet he found a way to get things done. He wasn't afraid to get in there and do the work that a President has to do. IOW, he wasn't lazy or afraid of doing the grunt work. Contrast that with the preening, bloviating slob we have now, who would much rather hit the links or run off to some lousy 'Rat fundraiser than do any real work of governing.

If you're President and you don't regularly invite the oppostion to the WH for frequent discussion, you're a fool to expect you will get anywhere.
